Rory was a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston USA, and was musical director at ATN 7 in Sydney during the mid to late 1960s. He went on to be musical director for the theatre production of “Godspell” and was a member of the bands “The Questions”, “Doug Parkinson In Focus”, “Heart and Soul” and toured with “The WHO” and “The Small Faces”. In more recent years he has taught and mentored countless young music students in jazz, including two of our sons, both here in Australia and in Europe, and has taken his young bands to perform at jazz festivals and venues throughout Australia, Europe and the United States.
