The Projectionists

AMMPT Western Region Inc. ‘inFocus’ Monthly Presentations

During AMMPT’s March 2013 presentation titled “The Projectionists”, Roy Mudge, George Robinson and Bill Gaynor reminisced about their journey in the entertainment business.

This was then followed up at AMMPT’s May presentation when the vice president of the Royal Western Australian Historical Society, retired librarian and lifelong cinema historian Jack Honniball talked about the little known stories of the rise and decline of Perth’s picture theatre industry.

Jack Honniball discusses the loss of Perth’s cinema treasures as part of the  AMMPT historic cinema photo collection with Ian Stimson (left) and Lyn Huxtable at the wake of Cinema City, just prior to its demolition.

This was a National Trust WA Heritage Month sponsored presentation.

If you have an interest in Perth’s cinema or television history and heritage, then the AMMPT programme of monthly meeting events may be of interest.
